About me
I have been teaching art for almost 20 years. I enjoy being with children, observing them, encouraging them, and watching them grow in confidence and ability,
I started teaching art at Oak Meadow in 2002. I work with children ages 5 to grade 8. I have also taught summer and after school classes and workshops.
Before I became an art teacher I was an elementary school teacher, and before that I worked in graphic design in Boston and New York.
I earned a B.A. in Art History at Kenyon College. I completed a M.Ed. in Elementary Education at Lesley University.
I am curious about a lot of things. I enjoy working outside, traveling, reading, and being with my family which consists of a husband, and two sons. We have a dog named Wally who is like a third child for all of us.
I hope you enjoy looking at my work. As you can see, I am interested in a wide variety of materials and processes.
